MAPEI Mapelastic – Flexible Cementitious Waterproofing Membrane

Mapelastic is a two-component, flexible cementitious mortar designed for waterproofing concrete and masonry surfaces. It provides a protective barrier against water infiltration and is particularly effective in areas subject to cracking.



🧱 Key Features

• Type: Two-component cementitious mortar (Component A: powder, Component B: liquid)

• Mixing Ratio: 3 parts Component A to 1 part Component B

• Consistency: Plastic-trowelable

• Pot Life: Approximately 1 hour

• Application Temperature: +5°C to +35°C

• Minimum Thickness: 2 mm in two coats

• Consumption:

○ Trowel application: 1.7 kg/m² per mm of thickness

○ Spray application: 2.2 kg/m² per mm of thickness

• Packaging:

○ 32 kg unit: 24 kg bag (Component A) + 8 kg tank (Component B)

Storage:

○ Component A: 12 months

○ Component B: 24 months

○ Store in a dry place, protect from frost

• EMICODE: EC1 R Plus – very low emission

It is suitable for use before the installation of ceramic tiles and provides a highly flexible, protective, and waterproof coating to concrete structures.



⚠️ Application Notes

• Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, sound, and free from contaminants.

• Application Method: Apply using a trowel or spray equipment.

• Curing Time: Allow a waiting time of 4–5 hours between layers; 5 days before installing ceramic tiles.

• Crack Reinforcement: For surfaces with existing cracks, embed a 4x4.5 mm square-grid Mapenet 150 mesh.
